Garlic Fry: Garlic is known for its health benefits. For ages, its’ been in culinary as well as medicinal usages. When crushed or cut, its sticky & pungent, yet adds great taste to dishes.
Of all the health benefits, the prominent one is that it’s known to reduce gastric problem – The first suggestion by elders in the family would be to intake dry roasted garlic or crushed garlic cloves boiled in milk.
Besides, when we don’t have much time to make chutney or gravy, we could make this garlic fry within few minutes. I learnt this from my mom and has always been my favourite.
10-15 garlic cloves
1/2 tspn chilli powder
1/4 tspn salt
- Crush the garlic cloves along with the skin. Keep aside.
- Heat 3-4 tblspn gingelly oil in a pan.
- Add the crushed garlic to the oil, sprinkle salt over the garlic and sauté until the garlic turns golden brown and slightly crispy.
- Switch off the stove. While garlic is still hot, add the chilli powder and mix well.
- Serve hot with dosa.
