White Pomfrets(Vavval) fry Recipe: Continuing on my previous post on Sankara meen(red smaller fish)/ curry, here is the white pomfret fry with less spice that I made specially for my kid. Mostly, I prepare Sear or Pomfrets fry for my kid as they have less bones.
Pomfret with diagonal cut looks attractive for fry and tastes good as the spices get absorbed inside.
4 small white Pomfrets
1 tspn pepper cummin powder
1/2 tspn chilli powder
Pinch of turmeric powder
1/4 small sized lemon(juice extracted)
Salt to taste
Few coriander leaves
- Take fish in a bowl. Sprinkle pepper cummin powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice & salt on top of the fish and mix well. Let it Marianate for 10-15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the fish until it turns slightly brown on the edges. The fish would be cooked within 5 minutes.
- Serve as starter for kids.
- Increase quantity of chilli powder for more spice level.
