Poha fry recipe:
Sun not showing up much, breezy outside, lazy evening on the onset, I’m sure most of us would prefer hot cup of coffee with light music. Whats’ next – need something to munch on?… Feeling so this Sunday, I fried poha with added flavours…felt so light and happy…my kid loved it and so did my husband…
I have used white thin poha, curry leaves and garlic for this snack. Its very simple and yummy. It can also be made as a mixture/chivda by adding sev, fried peanuts and roasted grams.
1 cup poha
1 cup oil 4-5 garlic pods(freshly pound)
1 stalk of curry leaves
1/4 tspn chilli powder
a inch of turmeric powder
Pinch of salt
1. Heat oil in a pan. The oil has to be hot enough such that as soon as you drop the poha, it has to rise immediately to the top< getting puffed up.
2.Transfer the fried poha to a bowl and keep aside.
3. Now fry the garlic and curry leaves one by one in the same oil and put it over the fried poha.
4. Switch off the stove. Add chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt to the poha fry. Mix everything together using a spoon.
5. Now poha fry is ready to be served as evening snack.
Note: Spice it up by adding chaat masala and more chilly powder
