Ragi Onion Pakoda
This a quick make, delicious recipe. This could be a good evening snack.
2 medium sized onion (cut it length wise)
3 tbl spn: Ragi powder
2 tbl spn : Besan powder
1/2 inch : Ginger (finely chopped)
1 – 2 : Green chillies (finely chopped)
Few curry leaves (finely chopped)
salt to taste
1. Add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well by sprinkling water so as to get a sticky consistency ( ref. pic below)
2. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the masala mixed onions by spreading the mixture across the pan. Make sure the oil is hot enough and when you add the onions to the oil, keep it in medium flame and fry.
3. When the onion turns brown and translucent, transfer it to a bowl after staining the oil completely. You would get a nice crispy onion ragi pakoda ready to be eaten
Note: The colour of the pakodas would be darker due to ragi’s natural colour
